YWCA Toronto is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Event Volunteer to join our team from January 2026 to June 2026. Working 15 hours per week (Monday 10am–4pm, Wednesday 10am–4pm, Friday 10am–1pm) on a remote basis, you’ll collaborate with the Event Manager and Event Officer to ensure the success of key fundraising and outreach initiatives, including the 2026 Women of Distinction Awards Gala.


Key Responsibilities:

2026 Women of Distinction Awards Gala

  • Respond to inquiries from YWCA staff, volunteers, and the general public.

  • Track RSVPs, create name badges, and assist with registration for the announcement reception.

  • Provide onsite support for orientation meetings, including greeting guests at the door, assisting with setup/cleanup, and securing catering quotes.

  • Coordinate silent auction logistics for the Gala, including requesting donations, labeling items, and assisting with outreach to potential donors.

  • Set up the Events Module in Raiser’s Edge; assist with inputting event details and managing backend setup.

  • Support the events team with administrative tasks and project coordination.


Third-Party Event Support

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for third-party fundraising events hosted in support of YWCA Toronto.

  • Research new event concepts to engage donors, increase participation, and generate additional funds from third-party initiatives.Responding to inquiries from staff, volunteers, and the public.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Preferably a current student in an event management program.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Constant Contact, Raiser’s Edge, and event software is an asset.

  • Experience with vendor relations.


Work Environment:

  • Primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings or workdays.

  • Some evening availability may be required for events.

  • Applicants must have their own equipment.
