Are you passionate about education, youth development, and making a meaningful impact in your community?

Join Centre Oméga, an organization dedicated to supporting youth under the age of 18 who are at risk of academic and social disengagement. As an Academic Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting young people through homework help and French language facilitation, while serving as a positive and consistent role model. This is an in-person volunteer opportunity that allows you to make a direct impact in a supportive, community-based environment.
Commitment: From now until June 2026 | Fall 2026 placements starting mid-October
Schedule: Monday to Thursday between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM (depending on school dismissal), 1–2 hours per session (2 hours preferred)
Frequency: Minimum once per week | Twice per week preferred
Location: Blainville and nearby schools (in-person only)
Requirements: Comfortable with elementary-level school subjects
Criminal background check required

What You’ll Do
Support an intervention worker during homework periods and/or facilitation activities
Assist youth with homework and basic academic skills
Support French language learning (francization) through activities and interaction
Help create a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment
Build consistent relationships with youth by working with the same group whenever possible
