Join UrbaNature Education as an Event Assistant volunteer and help promote environmental education across Montréal! This in-person opportunity is perfect for those who enjoy meeting people, sharing knowledge, and representing a cause that fosters sustainability and curiosity about the natural world.


Location: Montréal, QC

Commitment: ~3 hours every two weeks (schedule varies depending on events)


Requirements:

  • Ages 16+

  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with the public (or eager to learn!)

  • French and English an asset, but not required — UrbaNature welcomes Anglophones

  • No prior experience needed — full training provided

Volunteers will always work in pairs at events


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent UrbaNature Education at local events across Montréal

  • Engage with visitors and share information about UrbaNature’s programs

  • Help set up and take down event materials (e.g., tables, displays, brochures)

  • Answer questions and promote upcoming workshops and activities

  • Encourage community participation in environmental initiatives


What You’ll Gain:
