Emerging Leaders Placement Project

Are you comfortable working in a welcoming, community-focused environment? Do you have strong communication skills and a genuine desire to support women in your community? Women's Solidarity and Action Centre is looking for Reception Volunteers to support their day-to-day operations and help create an inclusive, accessible space for all participants.
Commitment:
Type: Ongoing opportunity
Schedule: 3 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday
Available shifts: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM OR 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (flexible based on availability)
Monthly commitment: Approximately 12 hours per month
Rotation model: Multiple volunteers preferred for coverage
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Requirements:
18 years or older
Comfortable interacting with the public
Basic computer skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Fluent in French with basic English proficiency preferred
Previous reception or administrative experience is not required but an asset
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Client Interaction
Welcome participants and visitors warmly and professionally
Answer and direct phone calls appropriately
Take messages and provide accurate information about programs and services
Administrative Support
Assist with participant registration and attendance tracking
Process membership registrations and payments
Support light administrative tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Community Engagement
Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for women
Work closely with Centre staff to support their mission
