Join the Women in Leadership (WIL) Foundation's Emerging Leaders Placement Project as a Mentorship Coordinator and play a central role in shaping our national youth mentorship program. In this remote volunteer leadership role, you’ll guide the intake, review, and matching process that helps youth ages 14–30 connect with inspiring mentors from diverse professional backgrounds.

This opportunity is ideal for organized, people-focused individuals who want to make a meaningful impact through mentorship, professional development, and community-building.

Commitment: ~4–6 hours per week (January–June 2026)

Location: Remote, Canada-Wide

Requirements: Strong organization and communication skills; interest in mentorship, coaching, or youth programs; leadership and coordination abilities.

What You’ll Gain

  • Leadership experience within a national nonprofit with 25 years of impact

  • Hands-on experience managing a mentorship program and matching process

  • Opportunities to collaborate with youth, mentors, and sector professionals

  • Strengthened skills in communication, administration, organization, and facilitation

  • An expanded professional network across industries and regions

  • A letter of reference and volunteer certificate recognizing your contributions

  • The chance to shape a mentorship program that creates long-term positive change for youth

What You’ll Do

  • Receive and review mentor and mentee applications submitted through our website

  • Assess participants’ skills, goals, interests, and strengths to support thoughtful matches

  • Maintain updated records of mentor-mentee pairings and participant information

  • Communicate clearly with youth and mentors about next steps, timelines, and expectations

  • Provide ongoing support to mentorship matches throughout the program duration

  • Assist with coordinating virtual webinars, orientation sessions, and Q&A events

  • Collaborate with WIL staff to deliver an inclusive, impactful mentorship experience

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

  • A natural leader who enjoys guiding processes and supporting others

  • Passionate about youth empowerment, mentorship, and community impact

  • Comfortable communicating with diverse individuals (youth + adult mentors)

  • Interested in gaining real nonprofit coordination experience

  • Able to commit 4–6 hours per week from January to June

  • Experience in mentorship, HR, coaching, youth programs, or coordination is an asset — but not required

By joining the Women in Leadership (WIL) Foundation's Emerging Leaders Placement Project as a Mentorship Coordinator, you’ll help build meaningful mentoring relationships that support youth in discovering their strengths, building confidence, and taking steps toward their future.
