Are you passionate about working with children, creativity, and building strong community connections?

Join Grow Local Society as a Kids Craft & Power of Produce Program Volunteer and help deliver fun, educational programming for youth at local farmers markets in Coquitlam and Port Moody. This in-person opportunity allows you to engage children through hands-on activities while promoting healthy food habits and community learning.
Commitment: Flexible scheduling, 2–4 hours per shift (option for full-day participation)
Location:
Coquitlam: 1655 Winslow Ave (Sundays, May–October, ~9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Port Moody: 300 Ioco Rd (Wednesdays, June–mid October, ~3:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
Requirements:
Interest in working with children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive, engaging, and reliable
Interest in community programming and education
Key Responsibilities:
Children’s Programming & Facilitation
Support and facilitate craft activities and educational programming
Engage children in hands-on learning experiences
Help create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment
Program Support
Assist with setup and cleanup of activity stations
Ensure materials are organized and ready for use
Support smooth flow of programming throughout the shift
Community Engagement
Interact with families and promote program participation
Encourage positive experiences for youth at the market
Support a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
Training will be provided during your first shift
