Join Pédalez pour les enfants 2026 as an Event Support Volunteer and support event-day operations for a large-scale fundraising event hosted by the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. This in-person opportunity brings together corporate teams, community members, and supporters in an energetic and philanthropic atmosphere, all in support of advancing pediatric care, research, and innovation.


As an Event Support Volunteer, you will play an important role in welcoming participants, supporting event flow, and helping create a fun, organized, and engaging experience for everyone involved.


Commitment: June 9–10, 2026 Location: Parc du Square Victoria, Montréal, Québec | Directly at the Square-Victoria metro exit toward Saint-Jacques

Volunteer shifts vary by day

Approximate shift length: 4–4.5 hours depending on shift

This is a one-time, in-person volunteer opportunity

Roles & Schedule:

Tuesday, June 9

11:30 AM – 3:30 PM

5 volunteers needed

Wednesday, June 10

8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

5 volunteers needed


12:30 PM – 5:00 PM

5 volunteers needed


Requirements:

  • No specific experience required

  • Friendly, professional, and dependable

  • Comfortable interacting with participants and the public

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Comfortable supporting a fast-paced, outdoor event environment

  • Interest in supporting community events and children’s healthcare initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Set-Up & Station Support

    1. Prepare event stations, including welcome areas, helmet stations, beverage areas, games, and other event spaces

    2. Help maintain organized and welcoming event areas throughout the shift

    3. Support event flow and general on-site coordination as needed

  2. Participant Support & Engagement

    1. Welcome participants and help create a positive first impression

    2. Assist with registration and check-in

    3. Ensure every participant riding the bike has a helmet

    4. Encourage teams during departures and arrivals

    5. Help create a fun, energetic, and supportive event atmosphere

  3. Event Operations & Team Support

    1. Support and accompany the event mascot as needed

    2. Assist with evening site teardown

    3. Work collaboratively with staff and fellow volunteers to support smooth event operations

    4. Potential opportunity to take a turn riding the giant bike
