Are you passionate about wildlife care, animal rehabilitation, and making a meaningful impact on local ecosystems?

Join Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation as an Animal Care Volunteer and help care for injured, ill, and orphaned wildlife in Saskatoon. This in-person opportunity allows you to support the rehabilitation process while gaining hands-on experience working with wild animals in a compassionate and educational environment.


Commitment:

  • Flexible, Volunteers sign up for shifts online based on their availability

  • Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation operates 7 days a week year-round


Location: In-person – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan


Requirements:

  • Comfortable working with animals and in a hands-on care environment

  • Reliable and willing to follow safety and care procedures

  • Interest in wildlife rehabilitation, biology, veterinary sciences, or animal care

  • Ability to participate in orientation and ongoing training


Key Responsibilities:

  • Chickadee Level

    • Learn the basics of wildlife rehabilitation support

    • Assist with dishes, laundry, cleaning, and preparation tasks

    • Support daily care operations and organization upkeep

  • Blue Jay Level

    • Assist with feeding baby birds during the summer season

    • Provide direct animal care during winter months

    • Support care routines for wildlife in rehabilitation

  • Crow & Owl Levels

    • Gain advanced experience working closely with wildlife patients

    • Assist with animal handling, care, and rehabilitation support

    • Develop stronger understanding of wildlife assessment and recovery processes


All Animal Care Volunteers must attend an orientation session before beginning
