Do you love dance and want to support young performers? Loisirs Bon-Pasteur is seeking volunteers for our Dance Show 2027 at Salle André-Mathieu. This is a wonderful opportunity to help create a memorable performance event, support young dancers, and be part of a celebration of creativity, movement, and artistic expression.

Type: One-time event volunteer opportunity
Date: May 23, 2027
Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (8.5 hours)
Format: In-person
Location: Salle André-Mathieu, Laval
Volunteers Needed: Multiple
Information Meeting: Required (Wednesday in May, 6:30 PM–8:00 PM at Laval-des-Rapides Community Centre—exact date to be confirmed)
Requirements:
Comfortable supervising and working with young children
Organized and detail-oriented
Patient and supportive attitude
Reliable and punctual
Able to work a full day event
Willingness to respond to email communications
Attendance at information meeting required
No specific dance experience needed
Key Responsibilities:
Setup
Help set up the reception area
Prepare spaces for performers
Organize backstage areas
Prepare waiting areas for children
Performer Support
Welcome children and take attendance
Supervise children ages 3–4, 5–6, or 7–8 (select your age group preference)
Bring children to and from the stage
Ensure children follow instructions and are ready
Engage children during waiting periods to reduce anxiety
Keep children calm and focused
Accompany children to washroom or for water as needed
Family Support
Welcome parents if required
Provide information and assistance to families
Help with parking and entrance logistics
Performer Care
Ensure children have water and snacks available
Ensure children collect personal belongings after performance
Provide encouragement and support throughout the day
Takedown
Assist with cleanup and takedown
Pack away equipment and materials
Help organize final details
Communication
Respond to email communications about the event
Attend information meeting as required

Loisirs Bon-Pasteur is a community organization in Laval dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families through recreational programming, educational support, and community events. Dance Show 2027 is a major performing arts celebration showcasing young dancers and their talents.
