Do you enjoy sports and want to support youth competitions? Loisirs Bon-Pasteur is seeking volunteers for our Tournament 2027 at École Laval Junior Academy. This is an excellent opportunity to help organize a major sports event, support young athletes, and be part of an exciting day of competition and community spirit.

Commitment:

• Type: One-time event volunteer opportunity

• Date: April 18, 2027

• Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (10.5 hours)

• Format: In-person

• Location: École Laval Junior Academy, Laval

• Volunteers Needed: Multiple

• Mandatory Pre-Event Meeting: Required (dates to be confirmed)

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm for sports and youth competitions

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Comfortable interacting with children, families, and coaches

• Reliable and punctual

• Willing to work a full day event

• Interest in supporting athletic programming

• Willingness to respond to pre-event communications

• Attendance at mandatory pre-event meeting required

Key Responsibilities (Select One Role):

• Gym Supervisor

  • Distribute medals to winning teams

  • Direct groups and teams to correct locations

  • Ensure correct teams are present for their matches

  • Direct parents to appropriate areas

  • Keep accurate score records

• Welcome/Reception

  • Welcome and greet arriving participants

  • Register teams and athletes

  • Assist with check-in process

  • Provide information and directions

  • Maintain welcoming atmosphere

• Recreation Supervisor

  • Welcome participants and athletes

  • Distribute pinnies or team shirts

  • Provide snacks to players

  • Manage recreational areas

  • Encourage and support participants

• Setup & Takedown (All Volunteers)

  • Assist with event setup before competition begins

  • Help with takedown and cleanup after event

  • Pack away equipment and materials

Loisirs Bon-Pasteur is a community organization in Laval dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families through recreational programming, educational support, and community events. Tournament 2027 is a major sports event bringing together young athletes and the community.

Important Information:

• Mandatory pre-event meeting required—volunteers must attend one of two meetings at either 6:00 PM or 1:00 PM (dates to be confirmed)

• Full day event from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

• School location (indoor facility)

• This opportunity is accessible and inclusive

• Support from event coordinators provided
