Join SPARK (Society for Providing Animal Assisted Therapy) as a volunteer and help care for our therapy horses and small animals — including goats, bunnies, and cats. This in-person opportunity is perfect for animal lovers who enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and contributing to a meaningful local cause.


Location: In-person at SPARK, Kelowna, BC

Commitment: Minimum 2 hours per week (typically 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Monday to Friday)

Requirements: Ideally 18+ or under 18 with parent/guardian (exceptions may be made)


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with morning chores including feeding, cleaning pens, and caring for horses, goats, bunnies, and cats

  • Maintain animal areas and assist with general farm upkeep

  • Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers to ensure animal safety and wellbeing

  • After three months of service, support additional activities such as evening/weekend chores or equine-assisted therapy sessions
