Are you passionate about digital collaboration, community impact, and building professional skills in a flexible remote environment?

Join the Rett Syndrome Society of BC as a Volunteer Intern and support meaningful projects that empower individuals and families affected by Rett Syndrome. This remote opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience in administration, outreach, communications, and project support while contributing to a collaborative nonprofit team.


Commitment: Approximately 2–3 hours/week ongoing


Location: Remote, Weekly Virtual Meetings

  • Wednesdays

    • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST

OR

  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM PST


Requirements:

  • Must be age 16+

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Comfortable using email, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Office

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with social media, Canva, forms, or project tools is an asset but not required

  • Must commit to one consistent Wednesday meeting time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative & Project Support

    • Assist with online administrative tasks and virtual coordination

    • Support application filing, data organization, and document management

    • Help build templates, forms, checklists, and organizational resources

  • Outreach & Communications

    • Assist with outreach emails and calls for partnerships or donations

    • Support social media content creation and digital engagement

    • Help contribute ideas for community outreach and awareness initiatives

  • Program & Resource Development

    • Assist with program planning and virtual event support

    • Help create training modules, educational materials, and resources

    • Contribute to collaborative projects within the organization
