Are you passionate about working with children and creating meaningful summer experiences?

Join Niteo Africa Society as a Day Camp Volunteer and help make summer unforgettable for children in Kelowna. This in-person opportunity is perfect for caring, energetic individuals who enjoy supporting kids through play, learning, and creativity in a fun day camp environment.
As a Day Camp Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in helping children feel supported, engaged, and excited throughout their summer camp experience.
Location: Kelowna, BC (In-person)
Commitment: 5 hours per shift, minimum 2 shifts per week (July 2026)
Requirements
Ages 16+
Enjoys working with children
Willing to support reading, games, crafts, and STEM activities
Must complete an interview process
Provide references
Criminal Record Check required
Key Responsibilities
Child & Program Support
Read with children and encourage literacy in a fun, supportive way
Assist with games, crafts, and hands-on STEM activities
Support camp leaders with daily programming and transitions
Creating a Positive Camp Environment
Help ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging space for all children
Encourage participation, creativity, and teamwork
Build positive relationships with campers and fellow volunteers
