Are you passionate about community events, supporting meaningful causes, and making a positive impact?

Join the Walk for Alzheimer’s Kelowna as a General Event Day Volunteer and help support a community event dedicated to raising awareness and support for individuals and families affected by dementia. This in-person opportunity allows you to contribute to a welcoming and engaging event experience while supporting an important cause in your community.
Commitment: In-Person – May 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible hours)
Location: City Park, Kelowna, British Columbia
Event Information:
Event Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Estimated Attendance: Approximately 50–100 attendees
An optional online training opportunity will be available on May 20, 2026
On-site support and guidance will be provided for all volunteers on event day
Flexible volunteer hours available based on availability
Requirements:
Friendly and dependable
Comfortable working in a team environment
Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Interest in community engagement and supporting important causes
Casual attire appropriate for an outdoor community event
Key Responsibilities:
Event Day Support
Assist with a variety of general event-day tasks as needed
Help support smooth event operations throughout the walk
Provide assistance to attendees, participants, and organizers
Guest & Community Engagement
Help create a welcoming and positive environment for participants
Support community connection and event engagement activities
Assist with directions, setup support, and general event flow
Event Operations
Support setup and takedown activities before and after the event
Help maintain organized event spaces and activity areas
Provide flexible support across different volunteer needs throughout the day
