Registration Table Volunteer (May 31, 2026) – Walk for Alzheimer’s (Vernon)

Are you passionate about community events, supporting meaningful causes, and helping create a welcoming experience for participants?

Join the Walk for Alzheimer’s Vernon as a Registration Table Volunteer and support event-day operations for a community walk dedicated to raising awareness and support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease. This in-person opportunity allows you to contribute to a meaningful cause while gaining hands-on volunteer and event support experience.

Commitment: May 31, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Location: Polson Park, Vernon, British Columbia

Event Information:

• Event Time: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

• Estimated Attendance: Approximately 100 attendees

• Volunteer shift runs from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

• On-site training and support will be provided on the day of the event

• Volunteer t-shirts will be provided

Requirements:

• Must be 19+

• Friendly, organized, and dependable

• Comfortable working in a team environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Black pants required (volunteer t-shirt provided)

Key Responsibilities:

• Registration & Event Support

  • Assist with participant registration during the event

  • Support registration volunteers with check-in and paperwork organization

  • Help maintain an organized and welcoming registration area

• Administrative & Logistics Support

  • Transport paperwork between the registration table and accounting office as needed

  • Assist with general event-day coordination and support tasks

  • Help ensure smooth event operations throughout the walk

• Community Engagement

  • Welcome participants and contribute to a positive event atmosphere

  • Support a meaningful community event focused on awareness and connection

  • Help create a respectful and supportive environment for attendees and families
