Love working with teens and wildlife? Be a guide, mentor, and program leader

for the next generation of wildlife advocates!

As a Teen Street Team Volunteer Facilitator, you’ll play an important role in

guiding our WildChild Teen Street Team, supporting young people as they

develop leadership skills and take action to help wildlife in their communities.

This virtual opportunity is ideal for a confident, supportive leader who enjoys

mentoring teens, facilitating discussion, and helping shape and grow a new,

youth-led program that empowers young people to take action for wildlife.


Location: Virtual (Zoom)

Commitment: Minimum 1 monthly Zoom meeting (1–1.5 hours). Ongoing, flexible


Requirements:

  • Ages 18+

  • Confident in facilitating meetings with teens while allowing youth to lead discussions and decision-making.

  • Comfortable representing WRSOS in schools or at community events when required

  • Passion for wildlife, conservation, or youth empowerment

  • Strong communication and mentoring skills

  • Experience working with youth is an asset

  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Zoom, and Canva (experience is

  • an asset)

  • Must complete an interview process

  • Provide references

  • Criminal Record Check required (Costs covered by WRSOS)

  • Willingness to comply with all WRSOS policies, youth safety guidelines, and program regulations


Key Responsibilities:

  • Youth-Led Facilitation & Mentorship

    • Facilitate monthly virtual meetings while ensuring discussions remain

      youth-led

    • Support teens in setting agendas, sharing ideas, and leading initiatives

    • Encourage confidence, leadership, and respectful peer-to-peer

      collaboration

    • Provide guidance without directing or controlling outcomes

  • Program Delivery & Representation

    • Deliver the WildChild Teen Street Team program using the outline and tools provided by WRSOS

    • Adapt activities and discussions while remaining aligned with program goals

    • Represent WRSOS professionally and in alignment with organizational values and brand voice

    • Ensure compliance with youth safety standards and organizational policies

  • Program Development & Growth

    • Provide input and ideas on how to expand and improve the WildChild Teen Street Team program

    • Help shape program activities, outreach, and youth engagement strategies

    • Collaborate with WRSOS staff to evolve the program while keeping it youth-driven

  • Creating a Supportive Learning Environment

    • Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and empowering virtual space

    • Support youth as they plan wildlife-focused outreach, education, or advocacy efforts
