Join Street Sisters Society as a Year-End Impact Report volunteer and help bring the organization’s annual achievements to life. This remote, project-based opportunity is perfect for detail-oriented writers, communicators, or emerging professionals looking to build their portfolio while supporting a mission-driven nonprofit.
Your work will help share the stories, outcomes, and human impact of Street Sisters’ outreach, harm reduction, and community support efforts across Calgary.
Location: Remote
Commitment: Project-based — completed by end of January 2026 (flexible schedule)
Requirements:
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience (or interest) in nonprofit communications, storytelling, or report writing
Ability to synthesize information into compelling, accessible content
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently
Women volunteers preferred (aligned with Street Sisters Society’s mission)
Key Responsibilities:
Gather & Organize Year-End Content
Review program highlights, stories, photos, and data collected by board and volunteers
Identify themes, milestones, and successes from the past year
Write Engaging & Impactful Report Content
Draft clear, professional writing that reflects Street Sisters’ mission and values
Present outreach work, program results, and community impact in accessible language
Ensure narrative sections are trauma-informed and respectful
Create a Clear & Professional Report Structure
Organize content into cohesive sections (e.g., achievements, partnerships, stats, stories)
Ensure the report is visually appealing, consistent, and easy to navigate
Collaborate With the Team
Communicate with leadership for approvals and feedback
Implement revisions and help finalize the report for public use
