Innovation Jeunes is looking for compassionate volunteers to join their floor team at the Solidarity Market — a welcoming space where fresh, quality produce is available at affordable prices to everyone.

This rewarding opportunity allows you to engage directly with community members, learn about food insecurity, and help ensure everyone has access to the food they need. You'll be part of a team dedicated to serving with kindness and respect.

Commitment:

• Schedule: Twice a month, on Mondays

• Time: Minimum 2 hours per session (bi-weekly)

• Frequency: Ongoing opportunity

• Type: In-person

Requirements:

• Passion for community service and food security

• Comfortable interacting with diverse community members

• Positive attitude and willingness to help

• Reliability for bi-weekly Monday commitments

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Service & Engagement

  • Warmly greet and serve customers as they shop

  • Positively engage with clients in a respectful manner

  • Answer questions about products and services

• Market Operations

  • Take grocery orders from clients

  • Refill food baskets as needed

  • Break down boxes and maintain a clean, organized space

  • Support smooth market operations

• Community Building

  • Create a welcoming, dignified environment

  • Demonstrate kindness and helpfulness

  • Build connections with neighborhood residents
