Are you passionate about STEM and empowering the next generation of girls in science?

Join Les Scientifines, an organization with over 35 years of experience promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to girls aged 8 to 17 from underprivileged backgrounds. Through hands-on learning and mentorship, Les Scientifines helps girls build confidence, perseverance, and essential skills while fostering long-term interest in STEM fields.


As a STEM Youth Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting girls aged 8 to 12 with their academic success and guiding them through their Expo-Sciences (Science Fair) projects in a structured and inspiring environment.


Commitment: Ideally for the full school year (September to June)

Please note: This is an in-person opportunity.


Schedule: Once per week, fixed day, 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM

  • Montréal: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday

  • St-Léonard: Friday


Location:

  • 2515 Rue Delisle, Montréal

  • 5200 Boul. Lavoisier, Saint-Léonard


Requirements:

  • This opportunity is open to women only

  • Currently enrolled in CEGEP or higher

  • Background in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)

  • Strong oral and written French (all activities are conducted in French)

What You’ll Do

  • Support girls aged 8–12 with homework

  • Guide participants through their STEM Science Fair projects (research, understanding concepts, organizing ideas, preparing presentation materials)

  • Encourage perseverance, curiosity, and critical thinking

  • Help create a structured, positive, and motivating learning environment

  • Build consistent relationships by committing to the same weekly group
