Are you passionate about advancing women’s leadership and making a meaningful impact in your community?

Join one of our Women in Leadership (WIL) Chapters as a volunteer and help lead local initiatives that support, empower, and connect women across Canada. Our chapter roles offer a range of experiences from strategic leadership to hands-on community engagement.

As a volunteer, you may contribute to areas such as leadership, mentorship, communications, partnerships, and events. Roles can include Chapter Co-Chair, Administrator, Mentorship Lead, Social Media Chair, Partnerships Chair, Community Engagement Chair, or positions within Social, Networking, Fundraising, and Communications committees. Please note that available roles vary based on each chapter’s needs.

As part of a chapter team, you may help co-lead meetings, plan events, develop marketing content, build partnerships, engage with diverse communities, and support mentorship initiatives. Whether you bring experience or are looking to grow your skills, we welcome your voice and energy.

To better support recruitment, the Toronto Chapter is currently hiring for two focused volunteer roles:

  • Social Media Coordinator

    • What you’ll do:

      • Support content creation for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms

      • Assist with scheduling and posting content

      • Highlight events, volunteers, and community impact

      • Engage with followers and support online growth

    • What you’ll gain:

      • Experience in social media and digital marketing

      • Portfolio-building content opportunities

      • Networking and professional connections

      • Volunteer hours, references, and recognition

  • Event Coordinator & Support

    • What you’ll do:

      • Support planning of networking events, workshops, and fundraisers

      • Assist with logistics, setup, and on-site coordination

      • Help manage attendee experience and event flow

      • Support outreach and promotion of upcoming events

    • What you’ll gain:

      • Hands-on experience in event planning and coordination

      • Networking with professionals and community leaders

      • Experience supporting impactful local initiatives

      • Volunteer hours, references, and recognition

We also regularly need support across other chapter functions and local events. If you’re interested in additional roles or flexible involvement (2–32 hours/week), please indicate your areas of interest in your application.

A Placement Coordinator will follow up to help match you with the best opportunity based on your interests and your chapter’s current needs.

Together, we are creating inclusive, empowered spaces for women to rise and lead.
