Join the Women in Leadership Foundation as an Emerging Leaders Placement Project Calgary Event Volunteer and support the delivery of a dynamic in-person event bringing together leaders, organizations, and emerging talent in Calgary. This one-time opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience while contributing to an engaging and impactful community event.
Commitment: One-time event – May 15, 2026 (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
Location: In-person – Calgary Public Library, Calgary, Alberta
Event Details:
Date: May 15, 2026
Event Time: 1:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Event starts at 2:00PM)
Location: Calgary Public Library
Volunteer Shifts: May include pre/post-event support for setup and tear-down
Training: On-site guidance provided by the Women in Leadership Foundation team
Requirements:
Youth ages 14–30
Friendly, reliable, and professional
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Interest in leadership, events, or community engagement
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Key Responsibilities:
Registration & Guest Services
Welcome attendees and support check-in (QR or guest list)
Direct guests and answer basic questions
Create a warm and professional first impression
Event Setup & Hospitality
Assist with setup of tables, signage, and materials
Support food and refreshment stations
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space
Panel & Speaker Support
Assist speakers and panelists before and during sessions
Help manage timing and smooth transitions
Support overall flow of programming
AV & Content Support
Operate slides and assist with basic AV needs
Capture photos and short video clips (optional roles)
Support storytelling and event highlights
Engagement & Networking Support
Help facilitate icebreakers and attendee interaction
Encourage networking and inclusive participation
Support a positive and engaging environment
Operations & Tear-Down
Assist with packing materials and light cleanup
Help ensure the venue is left in good condition
Provide flexible support across event needs
