Event Photography Volunteer (May 15, 2026) – Emerging Leaders Placement Project (Calgary)

Are you passionate about photography, storytelling, and capturing meaningful moments at impactful events?

Join the Women in Leadership Foundation as an Emerging Leaders Placement Project Event Photography Volunteer and help document a dynamic leadership event bringing together youth, professionals, and community leaders. This in-person opportunity allows you to build your portfolio while gaining exposure and real-world event experience.

Commitment: One-time event – May 15, 2026 (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

Location: In-person – Calgary Public Library, 800 3 St SE, Calgary, Alberta

Event Details:

• Date: May 15, 2026

• Arrival & Setup: 2:00 PM

• Event Time: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

• Location: Calgary Public Library

Requirements:

• Must bring your own photography equipment

• Ability to work with natural lighting in a dynamic environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to capture candid moments

• Comfort working in a fast-paced event setting

• Interest in storytelling, branding, and event photography

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Photography & Content Capture

  • Capture event highlights including speakers, networking, and atmosphere

  • Document key moments that reflect the energy and purpose of the event

  • Provide a mix of candid and posed photography

• Headshot Station Support

  • Provide professional headshots for youth attendees starting at 2:00 PM

  • Coordinate with participants to ensure a smooth and efficient flow

  • Collaborate with another photographer (approx. 40 headshots each)

• Post-Event Delivery

  • Share edited photos with participants at the event or via email within 72 hours

  • Ensure content is organized and ready for participant and organizational use
